Hello, I want to get into an institute/college for Cartoon Animation, where should I go? -read details-?
I would very much like to get into tennesee to do this... does anyone have any ideas? I've looked around but haven't had much luck, i'm a junior in High School and have been learning a lot about where to go for school lately. As I am highly interested in Cartooning/Animation i would like to get into this. Thank you.
the top schools (at least when I was a kid a long time ago) they told us for animation were CalArts (in california) and Sheridan (in Canada). Even though it's actually a trade/tech school and not like a real university/college it is considered one of the best and is one of the largest for cartoons. And frankly, if you are really really serious about this, I would suggest you go to a tech/trade school specifically for cartoons rather than just going to a general art school and trying to major in a related field. Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia is the largest and also covers cartoons and animation. Check those 3 schools out first, then look for some others.
