Do you prefer to use a pen or pencil during school?
I don't know how this random question came to mind but whenever I am in school and the teacher says "Please take out a pen or pencil." I usually just go for the pencil. So the question is "Do you prefer a pen or pencil during school." lol
Back in the days I attended High School, pen was mandatory in all subjects with the exception of math and art. Even in high school, teachers would take your notebook and assess it for neatness, completion of assignments, quality of notes taken during class and so on. This was mainly the English teacher who did this, but the marketing teacher was prone to looking at assignments on a less regular basis. Pen seems to make you try to keep your notes neater, less scribbling in the notebook and you seem to value that notebook more so than you would if you just scribbled in pencil which was more likely to smear and become illegible. I don't have a problem with using pen for taking notes and for my adult life, I've kept various journals, notebooks containing reference note and pretty much pen has been the only writing instrument used. Although, there is one small notebook that I did in pencil because I was making notes in bed. This is bothering me enough that I am very likely going to have to redo all the notes in pen at some point. I don't even want to think what that says about my personality. And, no, I'm not an English teacher!
